TOKYO, Japan, May 16, 2017 – Honda Research Institute (HRI), a Honda R&D subsidiary, and Boston University have agreed to begin joint research in the area of data security and privacy for artificial intelligence (AI) research.

TOKYO, Japan, April 27, 2017 – Honda Research Institute Japan Co., Ltd. (HRI-JP), a Honda R&D subsidiary, has established a project team with the Graduate School of Informatics, Kyoto University and began joint research this month to further accelerate research of artificial intelligence (AI).

TOKYO, Japan, February 28, 2017 – Honda R&D Co., Ltd., the R&D subsidiary of Honda Motor Co., Ltd., today announced plans to create “R&D Center X,” a new research and
development operation within the company, which will assume responsibility for “new value” areas that include robotics technology, mobility system and energy management, etc. The official establishment of R&D Center X will take place in April of this year.

TOKYO, Japan, June 2, 2016 – Honda R&D Co., Ltd., a research and development subsidiary of Honda, today announced plans to further strengthen its research and development of intelligent technologies and, toward that objective, will establish Honda R&D Innovation Lab Tokyo by around September this year in Akasaka, Tokyo, a new operation which will serve as a venue for “co-creation” – where Honda will seek to collaborate with external experts and other research institutes.
