Case Study about HRI-JP’s Social Robot Haru

Case Study about HRI-JP’s Social Robot Haru now online! In collaboration with the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC), HRI-JP integrated UNICEF’s Policy Guidance on AI for Children into their participatory design approach for robot Haru. HRI-JP engaged with children in Japan and Uganda, raising awareness for children’s rights and technical requirements.

Team lead Dr. Gomez will present HRI’s AI initiatives at the Global UNICEF Forum on “Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Children” taking place from Nov 29 to Dec 1, 2021. At this event, the world’s technology experts, policy makers, researchers and practitioners will gather to connect as well as discuss future directions.
