Augmented Reality (AR) improves training and collaboration with robots at HRI-EU

HRI-EU conducts research at the forefront of innovation in the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). Our latest system enables us to explore the full potential of Augmented Reality (AR) for improving robot training and human-robot collaboration.

AR allows to overlay virtual information onto the physical world, creating an environment in which users can provide more intuitive and meaningful feedback to robots. This is particularly relevant in the area of robot training, where AR technology can enable more effective teaching by demonstration. The use of AR can also communicate the robot’s intent, leading to more natural and effective collaboration. This cutting-edge technology has the potential to revolutionize the way we interact with robots. For more information, please check our pre-print paper.
This contribution will be demonstrated at the CHI 2023 conference in Hamburg, Germany in late April.
