abstract = {Significant advancements in computing power, improvements of algorithms - particularly in Deep Learning -
have rekindled interest and developments in the AI field. The availability of big data through our interactions with systems, devices and platforms leaving digital traces has been a fuel to the development. The COVID-19 pandemic certainly also accelerated the digital transformation towards more reliance on remote solutions. With the pandemic, there has been an increase in e-commerce and digital transactions, with businesses and consumers more frequently turning to online platforms for goods and services. It also gave rise to remote solutions for communication, work, learning, or consultations. AI-supported systems are nowadays deeply integrated into our everyday lives - be it so as to assist in judicial decision-making, assist in medical diagnostics, to recommend content, items or persons to connect with, to support vehicle-steering, as chat bots for customer services, as tools to create near-realistic images, or as coding assistance in software development. These applications reflect AI{\textquoteright}s broad utility and its growing presence in various sectors.
While machines are good at processing large recorded data and uncovering patterns without heavy limitations of memory, humans show their strength when it comes to judging new, uncertain situations or situations that require tacit knowledge, intuition, or creativity. The improvements within the field of AI and machine{\textquoteright}s advantage to quickly process massive amounts of data and identify patterns, have strengthened the belief that AI can compete with humans and that its capabilities can be leveraged to form some kind of super-human partnership. For this, the increased appearance of terms in the public and research community such as Human-AI teams, Human-AI partnership, and Human-AI coevolution are proof. The diversity in how these concepts are understood and applied across different disciplines underscores the interdisciplinary nature of current AI research and the ongoing exploration of how to best integrate AI systems with human expertise. For instance, research on human-AI collaboration spans fields such as cognitive science, robotics, and ethics, reflecting a broad interest in optimizing the synergy between human expertise and AI capabilities.
This work aimed to shed light on the challenges and opportunities of human-AI partnership, mechanisms of how intelligent systems affect human behaviors, and lastly improve our understanding of how AI could be leveraged to support individuals and teams. It focused on decision-making and software development contexts. AI-powered assistance frequently guides complex human decisions made by teams or individuals and is considered to potentially improve coordination and collaboration among members of a team, such as software developers. Further, social bots could be used to promote desirable behaviors, for instance, to nudge individuals to engage more.},
