abstract = {We present a spatio-temporally situated dialog implemented in a driver assistance system which supports the driver in turning left at a busy urban intersection.
The system provides verbal information on the vehicles arriving from the right side.
In this highly dynamic scenario the location of the vehicles referred to significantly changes while the system is referring to them.
Consequently, the time the system needs for producing the utterances and the time drivers need to comprehend them and prepare their action has to be taken into account in the dialog management.
Additionally, the system can not augment the speech feedback via visual information when referring to the vehicles from the right as the driver will typically observe the opposite direction while listening to the system{\textquoteright}s feedback.
We introduce a dialog concept to resolve these issues which uses the timing of the utterances as structuring element.
The approach predicts the future traffic participants{\textquoteright} state and plans the utterances such that they align with the driver{\textquoteright}s expectations.
